Welcome
(continued from home page.)
First, we work with missionaries and ministries already on the
front line, and secondly we approach each challenge in a creative and
individual way.
We began our efforts 6
years ago, bringing supplies to several orphanages in Haiti. While
visiting the missionaries and nannies that ran the orphanages we
realized the desperate need for diapers, and started sewing them
ourselves. Then others joined in our diaper making efforts. Today we
have groups of women who sew, and others who donate material.
When Christian Freedom
International told us about their "self-help" program for persecuted
Christians, and showed us the lovely handcrafted items these Christian
brothers and sisters were making, we started offering those handcrafts
at our Missions Marketplace. This created thousands of dollars worth of
sales. These sales directly help our persecuted brothers and sisters in
Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Laos to support themselves.
Later our trips to Haiti
took us to the streets and to the homes of desperately poor Haitian
families. We responded with WORK Haiti a program that brings work to
these families. Now, one family at a time is being transformed from
dependency to self sufficiency.
We hope you will enjoy a
leisurely trip through our site and that you will learn more about The
Least of These. We invite you to find your own unique way of becoming
involved.
